ATHLETICS
The goal of St. John the Evangelist's athletics program is to develop student athletes who display good sportsmanship and who possess Christian values. The athletics program endeavors to provide a safe, enjoyable sports environment that enhances the physical, emotional social and spiritual well being of all students.
PARTICIPATION
Students are eligible to participate in all areas of the sports program beginning in fifth grade. St. John the Evangelist's Religious Education students are also eligible to participate.
Programs available for both students include:
Basketball
Cheerleading
Cross Country
Soccer
Track
Volleyball
FEES

A one-time annual family fee of $150.00 with $50.00 for each additional child, all of which must be paid prior to the start of the season to participate on a team. In addition, parents are required to serve four hours per child per sport in which the student participates. Parents of students who participate in any basketball team must serve an additional two hours during St. John the Evangelist's Holiday Tournament.

Those who choose not to work the required concessions hours will pay $50.00 per hour for each hour they did not work. Substitutes may be utilized provided they are at least 18 years of age.

PHYSICALS
​
Students must have a complete physical examination and a written statement from a physician stating they are physically able to participate in St. John the Evangelist's athletic program. Students may not practice, scrimmage, or participate in any games without a physical on file with the school's athletic department. The physical must be given to the player's coach prior to the first practice.
